Campbells is pleased to announce that it welcomed five summer interns and awarded three scholarships this summer. The interns worked in various departments across the Firm’s Cayman Islands office including corporate services, compliance and litigation. This has given them insight into both legal and support departments within a law firm, and how they contribute to the overall function of the Firm. When asked about their experience, one intern said that “I found it very interesting to witness first-hand how a Cayman-based law firm operates and learn more about various roles in the Firm. This experience has given me an insight as to what to expect when pursuing a career in the legal profession.”
Campbells also awarded three scholarships in Cayman this year. Our scholarship recipients are Tyanna Jan, Xavian Ebanks and Manusri Prabhakar. Tyanna will be starting her PPC and Xavian and Manusri will be second year students at Truman Bodden Law School in September. When describing her time at Campbells, Tyanna said “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Campbells so far and am very grateful for the opportunity to work with such knowledgeable and experienced attorneys who are very willing to share their insights. My confidence in myself and my abilities have flourished under their leadership and guidance. The work is challenging and rewarding and the opportunities for learning and growth are plentiful.”
Campbells is proud to support Caymanians pursuing the study and practice of law and also offers a comprehensive Articled Clerk training programme as well as sponsoring the St Ignatius A-Level law programme and offering regular summer placements to aspiring lawyers. Campbells’ 18-month training programme consists of carefully monitored rotations amongst different departments and ensures recipients receive active mentorship and a wide breadth of experience.
