We are delighted to announce the opening of our Hong Kong office. Clients in the region will now have direct access in their own time zone to our Cayman Islands and BVI legal services, including corporate, finance, insolvency and restructuring, insurance, investment funds, litigation and trusts.
Our office is located in Edinburgh Tower in Landmark Square, in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central business district, and will be led by Ross McDonough. Prior to his move to Hong Kong, Ross served for many years as Managing Partner and Head of Litigation in the Cayman office. Having practiced continuously with Campbells since 1994, Ross is one of the most experienced litigators at the Cayman bar. He has appeared in more than 40 reported cases in the Grand Court, the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council. He has also been admitted in the British Virgin Islands since 2009. Ross specialises in insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation, with a particular expertise in investment fund disputes and is ranked band 1 in the latest edition of the Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific Guide. “The opening of an office in Hong Kong is in response to demand from our clients in the Asia-Pacific region following several years of exceptional growth” said Ross.
New Cayman Managing Partner John Wolf brings many years of experience to the role, having been Head of Corporate since 2007. Cayman Partner Alan Craig takes over from John as Head of Corporate, while Ross is replaced as Head of Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring by Cayman Partner Guy Manning.
