Campbells is pleased to announce the promotion of Charlie Pywell and Paul Kennedy to Partner in our Cayman Islands office. Charlie is a member of our Corporate department whilst Paul works in our Litigation, Restructuring and Insolvency department.
Charlie joined Campbells in 2018 and has a broad corporate and finance practice. He has particular expertise in debt finance (including fund finance and leveraged finance), equity finance, M&A and capital market transactions. Charlie regularly advises investment banks, private equity funds, large corporates and start-ups on the cross-border and multi-jurisdictional aspects of their transactions.
Paul joined Campbells in 2019. He has particular expertise in complex cross-border disputes relating to funds and other offshore structures, asset recovery claims and fraud investigations and in breach of duty claims in relation to the managers, auditors, administrators and custodians of investment vehicles. Paul is one of the leading experts in the Cayman Islands on sanctions and asset freezing measures affecting offshore assets and has also written and spoken extensively on cross-border litigation and insolvency matters.
The addition of Charlie and Paul to the partnership comes at a time of dynamic growth for Campbells’ Cayman office, which has been driven by increasing client demand and a series of high profile engagements. John Wolf, Managing Partner, commented “We are delighted to recognise Charlie and Paul’s hard work and outstanding contribution to the firm. Their promotions are very well deserved and further strengthen our leading position in the Cayman market”.
